Week 1 The Role Of Technology

 

MY REFLECTION FOR WEEK 

 My first week was very interesting.  I got to the class room around 5 minutes late  however I had to introduce myself  to the class.  Secondly  the teacher introduced herself and gave the course outline for the entire year.   She has a very high spirit and  is very jovial in doing her work. She listed some major instruments and various types of technology in old and new technology for eg. rubber,  floppy disc, walk man memory card, video cassette to cds dvd  vcr. and we the students had to differentiate the and state what was old from new technology. Then we had to sign up our gmail account. then students all exchange their gmail account.   She also gave us some words to define  my first was very interesting with my teachers behaviour.


Task:  Research the four main theories of learning, learning styles, types of  multiple intelligence and types of learners
  Create email accounts:

• Gmail with contacts and group contact list
• Hotmail with contacts and group contact list

Complete questions using google forms

What I learned in week one :
What is media- the main means of mass communication
They are 6 categories of media;
*videos                                       *text
*people                                       *visual
*audio                                         *tactile

How to make a group email contact list and use emails to communicate with my classmates via email.

Steps

1. Go to www.gmail.com and www.live.com
2. Complete the general information
3. Sign into the email account created
4. Click on the dropdown menu/apps icon
5. Select contacts/people
6. Add each individual email using the "new - contacts and contacts group/list" feature
7.  Using Manage or More tab you may import contacts from another email

Steps used to complete the task:

The Challenges

The challenges I faced were not getting the correct email from my classmates.

Conclusion

I learned a great deal. I learned to differentiate between old and new technology and how to create an email group. Technology is going to be a very informative.
